Microsoft Office 13 - An Enhanced Version

The last change in the Microsoft Office came in 2010. Now they have come with a new version named MS Office 2013. Let’s talk on what new is in this new version….

Flat design of the interface

There has been a bit change in the visuals of the Office 2013. The new version is a bit flat in looks. Earlier, the buttons were made a bit 3-dimensional to make it alter from the background, but the background has been made a bit vibrant. Some part of the Office 2007 has been given place in this version. If the users don’t like this then they have the choice to remove it. You have the option to hide everything except the cursor. This is an significant change in the visuals. Collectively, this new version has been made more attractive and its use in windows 8 makes it more striking to the users.

Online as well as offline support

Office 13 has come with an online support. If you download its suite then you can have the option of logging in through which users can log in into their Microsoft account. And thus one can save their document in Microsoft’s cloud storage-Sky Drive. This addition of Sky Drive in the MS Office have made it more enhanced as if somehow your hard drive crashes or your laptop is nicked, your file is saved at the backup server.

One more benefit of this online storage is that the users can access their document on any other computer. Besides, the users can save their file on cloud so that user can open their file on any ordinary computer with Windows 8 or Windows 7. The Office 13 is connected with the social networking site, so the users can use the social account of their virtual friends.

Benefit of Skype Calling

The Skype, launched by Microsoft in 2011, for video and voice calling has been added to the MS Office 13. So, the user can call their friend on just one click. Through Skype, the users can call their friends on Skype free of cost, but to call on landline or mobile cost them a bit. But, Microsoft has announced that they would provide their users with 60 free minutes every month.

Available in Two Versions

The MS office 13 will be available in two different versions, namely-Stand alone and Office365. The Stand Alone version can be used in single computer only, but, the Office365 can be used in five machines. The user can select their version according to their need.

Connectivity Option with Office 13

The Office 13 web can be used as local drive. Files available on internet can be accessed easily, and, also stuffs can directly be added to Blogs. The new Office supports Blogger and Wordpress. With these, one can add videos from Youtube and Photos from sites like Flicr directly without downloading to your local drive.

PDF Editing and Reading Mode

Office 10 users can save their Word document into PDF. Here, in Office 13, they can not only save their document in PDF format but also read and edit PDF files easily. In reading mode, users can read PDFs in distinct style. With this version of Office, the document can be read as books.
